Disney World Reopening – 04

Today we give you the scoop on Disney’s reopening after their 4-month closure due to the pandemic, and Ryan is reporting LIVE from his room at Walt Disney World.

First, Ryan covers the perspective from if you’ve visited the parks before. Then we’ll cover advice for those who have never visited Disney.

The Disney Reopening for Return Guests

Disney’s Reopening in the Parks

The crowds are smaller!

Temperature Screening – First thing before you enter the parks.

No security search – They have scanners that scan you and your bags.

Hand sanitizer everywhere.

No fingerprint scan – When you enter the park, you only scan your magic band.

Everyone has to wear a mask. Every cast member wears their mask correctly.

There is plenty of physical distancing.

Dining in the Parks

Overall, there are fewer options. Not everything is open.

Currently only one restaurant with character dining, Topolino’s Terrace.

All of the menus are contactless. You pull up the menus on your phone by scanning a QR code.

Disney recommends that you use mobile ordering.

You have to plan ahead because not everything is open yet.

Disney’s Reopening in the Resorts

Not as many changes.

You have to wear masks.

More spacing at the pools, but you don’t have to wear masks in the pool area.

In-app chat for support to minimize in -person interactions with cast members.

You will be using your phone a lot so bring a charger!

Soon, Disney will change the airport procedure. We’ll have to get our own bags and take them to the Magical Express terminal.

If You’ve Never Visited Walt Disney World

If this is your first trip to Disney, is this the right time to go?

The one drawback is the character interaction. There are still lots of characters, just no meet-and-greets or having contact with characters.
