Top Tips for Booking a Family Spring Break Trip – 77

Spring Break is the quintessential vacation in the US. Yes, it’s only a few days before Halloween but we’ll reveal why NOW is the best time to plan your family Spring Break trip and we’ve got some great ideas for vacation spots.

Top Tips for Booking a Family Spring Break Trip

1. Choose Your Location Wisely!

Popular spring break locations tend to have bad reputations (especially for family travel). I would recommend choosing a destination that still gives the experience you want while avoiding the rowdy crowds

2. Travel on Less Popular Days

Most spring breaks begin on a Friday or Saturday. So, prices and crowds traveling those days can add to both budget and stress! Having a spring break Monday-Friday/Saturday allows ayou to enjoy an easier (and cheaper) travel experience.

3. Reserve Those Special Experiences

Planning ahead is still more crucial than ever in travel. Restaurant reservations, museum entries, attraction tickets are now needing to be booked beforehand. Don’t leave the special parts of your trips to chance! Book those experiences as soon as you know your travel plans. Also, don’t forget that rental car!

Ideas for Spring Break Destinations!

1. Mexican All-Inclusive Resort

Mexico has a lot going for it as a travel destination. Closer than other international destinations, easier to manage COVID guidelines, and lots of options to choose from all make it a consideration. An all-inclusive resort is perfect for both adults and families and often keeps you away from the rowdy spring break crowds!

2. Beach Vacation in the US

You can avoid a lot of the hustle and bustle of spring break while still enjoying a wonderful beach vacation in the US. Florida tends to be my favorite because of easy travel options and lots of locations.

Great Choices:

  • Amelia Island Ritz Carlton
  • JW Marriott Marco Island (families)
  • JW Marriott Marco Island Sirene Section (adults)
  • Galveston to Surfside Beach rental homes.

3. Orlando

You’ve got it all! Theme parks, water parks, animal interactions, and options for beach day trips. Orlando is more than just a theme park destination and would provide plenty to do over a spring break trip.

Great Choices (non-theme park):

  • Encore Resort at Reunion
  • Margaritaville Resort Orlando (families)
  • Four Seasons Orlando (adults).

4. City Tour

Spring Break is a great time to visit a city and take in the sights! Prices are lower than summer and crowds are much more manageable. Plus, buying a “city pass” allows you to customize a trip to your speed.

Great Choices

  • Marriott Marquis (Times Square New York)
  • Loews Chicago Hotel
  • Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego
  • JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Resort & Spa
  • Hotel Contessa on the San Antonio Riverwalk
